Parallels Automation Software Adds Support for Google Message Filtering

Gives Service Providers Easy Access to Anti-Virus and Spam Protection Offering

Service providers that use Parallels Automation software can now easily deliver real-time spam and virus filtering, attack blocking, and e-mail traffic monitoring using a Google Apps security and compliance package.

Parallels Automation is integrated with the Google Message Filtering e-mail offering, so service providers can streamline delivery of hosted services to their customers and provide automated billing and provisioning of the Google services through Parallels.

"The Google Message Filtering integration with Parallels Automation makes it easy for service providers to offer their customers an advanced security solution that requires minimal resources to deploy," said Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. "This new offering is another example of how the Parallels Open Platform is helping service providers add software-as-a-service (SaaS) capabilities to address the needs of their customers."

According to a recent worldwide survey of 400 service providers by Parallels, more than 70 percent of them plan to offer SaaS applications this year, nearly double the number that currently offer SaaS. Security was cited as a key SaaS application they would like to offer in 2008.

"Google Message Filtering is an always-on, always-current security solution that does not require any hardware and software installation, and enables IT administrators to devote their limited resources to projects more strategic to the business," said Scott Petry, director of product management, Google. "This integration with Parallels Automation simplifies complex provisioning steps and gives services providers access to our industry-leading technologies."

"We recently deployed a Parallels Automation-based SaaS infrastructure for Microsoft Hosted Exchange 2007," said Shazad Boota, operations director, Coreix Ltd., which specializes in high-availability hosting services for enterprises. "We chose Parallels Automation because of its full integration with Google Message Filtering, which enables us to offer market-leading anti-virus and spam protection to our clients."

Google Apps security and compliance services work with any mail system, are powered by Postini, and are based on the same technology that protects e-mail for nearly 40,000 customers and 14 million users a day. Go to www.google.com/a/security for more information.

Parallels Automation is a customizable datacenter solution that allows service providers to manage their infrastructure by providing online ordering, domain registration, service plan management, client self-management, server management, workflow, billing, payments, and more. With Parallels Automation’s modular design and flexible architecture, a system can expand to include new services and scale to several million customers.

The Parallels Open Platform enables hosting with Parallels virtualization and automation technology through integration with a wide range of third-party applications and systems. The Application Packaging Standard (APS), a key element of the platform, is used by ISVs and service providers to seamlessly integrate applications to offer to the more than 10 million businesses and individuals that use Parallels products.
